PRESS RELEASE FROM THE PRESIDENCY OF THE REPUBLIC

The Vice-President of the Republic, Mr Tiémoko Meyliet KONÉ, left Abidjan on Wednesday 26 March 2025 for Paris (France), where he will represent the President of the Republic, H.E. Mr Alassane OUATTARA, as co-chairman of the 4th Nutrition for Growth (N4G) Summit, scheduled for 27 and 28 March 2025.

The aim of the Summit is to take stock of the commitments made in Tokyo in 2021, and to encourage all stakeholders to make new, coherent and decisive financial and non-financial commitments, in line with the ambition to eliminate all forms of malnutrition worldwide by 2030.

This 4th edition of the N4G will be an opportunity for Côte d’Ivoire to share its experience as a model country in action to strengthen nutrition, and also to learn from others.

It will also give our country the opportunity to mobilise resources to implement its National Multisectoral Nutrition Plan 2024-2027, and to forge new partnerships around its Regional Centre of Excellence against Hunger and Malnutrition (CERFAM), due to open in Abidjan in 2019.

On the sidelines of the Summit, Vice-President Tiémoko Meyliet KONÉ will be holding talks with the heads of delegation and several leading figures from the international nutrition community.
